ABOUT US | Our Team

Every day, people entrust their finances to a financial professional to help them pursue the financial goals they've set.

That sounds so impersonal, doesn't it?

Choquette Financial Services, Inc. partners with you to develop a doable course of action based on your values, comfort level, current situation, and timeline. If you don't understand something, we want to explain it to you. If you're not sure about a particular investment, we'll tell you why we think it would work for you. Or we'll find an alternative you can be comfortable with. We think you'll agree that our way is anything but impersonal.

We invite you to explore our Web site to get to know us better. We've tried to make your visit to our virtual office very similar to the experience of our real office. But we're all well aware of the shortcomings of computers and monitors, which is why we invite you to come in to meet us and see for yourself.

Greg Choquette

Greg is the financial consultant and owner at Choquette Financial Services, Inc., and helps clients make smart decisions about money. Greg started his company in August 2006, coming from Ameriprise Financial where he worked with clients and specialized in education, retirement, and estate planning.

Greg graduated from the University of Maine with a degree in business administration and is currently studying for the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM designation. In Greg's spare time, he likes to kayak, mountain bike, ski, and camp. Greg lives in Old Town with his wife Barbara and their three dogs Brady, Casco, and Porsche. Greg and Barbara have two grown children, Bridget and Jesse.

Joanne Doane

Joanne is our administrative assistant. In November Joanne "celebrated" one year of working with Greg. She has been a client for six years. While her secretarial training never included finance, she is thoroughly enjoying the learning process and especially meeting and interacting with Greg's clients.

On a personal level, she is a frustrated interior designer. Over the years she has designed and decorated four of their own homes, especially with antiques. Five years ago she and her husband purchased a home built in 1905, she thought it was gorgeous, however on the day of the closing her brother-in-law aptly called it a "dump". It is the first old home that they've ever owned and they love it. The woodwork is original and has never been painted. They have restored the hardwood floors and even have a Butler's Pantry (still looking for the butler!). Joanne says "now it should be obvious why I am still working!" Rumor has it that Joanne is an awesome cook. Joanne also enjoys walking and worshiping the sun.

Kaitlyn Ireland

Kaitlyn is our intern/administrative assistant. She is currently attending the University of Maine in Orono, majoring in business finance. Kaitlyn is hoping to gain experience and knowledge in the business world through client interactions and shadowing the job of a financial advisor. Kaitlyn has enjoyed helping her father develop a website for his business. She also handles most of the email and web based client interactions for Choquette Financial Services, Inc. She will graduate in May with a Bachelors of Science in Business Finance. After college, she plans to enter and gain further experience in the field.
